Today education is being seen as a serious exertion since it deals with and shapes human beings. Quality in education is not an end but a means of achieving the aims of education. The quality of education is determined by the kind of humans it produces. Today education envisages to produce knowledge based society and not a literary society in the past. This can be reached about only through quality planning, expertise, training personnel, quality process, analyzing and inspections. Hence schooling has to come out of the normal set of boundaries and has to become multi-dimensional, thus meeting our need for quality education. Providing such educational environment to our children has become imperative as India has evolved to be a worthy leader on the world platform. Happy Senior School, with the motto ’Fostering Leadership and Knowledge’, has been serving the society in the field of education since 1948 with an opened functional approach. As the years have gone by, the school has evolved with the dynamics of the world education system ensuring that its students dare to ask questions and not fear from them, always encouraging them to first discover themselves before exploring the world. We believe that a school is not merely meant for cultivating students but has a key role in empowering parents also. It is only through a strong partnership between the school, its students and parents that consequential results can be redeemed. In pursuance of our efforts, we strive to promote morals and values that our Indian culture exemplifies.The aim of education is not the acquisition of information, although important, or acquisition of technical skills, though essential in modern society, but the development of that bent of mind, that attitude of reason, that spirit of democracy which will make us responsible citizens.
About School
The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the largest educational board in the country and is duly recognized by the Department of Education, Government of NCT Delhi.
The school aims at holistic development of students through multifarious activities related to personal and social development.
Infrastructure
The school has a state of art infrastructure which is designed keeping in mind the future needs of the school. The junior wing and the secondary wing are under constant observation of the Principal through close circuit cameras. A network of two way speakers is spread over the complete premises of the school including the computer room, the canteen, corridors etc. through which the principal can have a strict vigil over the performance of the students as well as of the teachers. This system is also used to deliver various instructions and provide numerous audio aided educational lessons.The school library has a collection of wonderful and exciting books suited to the needs and tastes of growing children. The reading room is regularly updated with useful journals and newspapers. The adequately equipped science laboratory in the school inculcates the spirit of experimentation, innovation, research and discovery in the minds of the students. Apart from making science learning fun and enhancing the level of understanding of the various scientific theoretical concepts, the practical sessions are conducted in the lab.
The school has taken a giant stride by setting up a multimedia lab with the purpose of making learning interactive, stimulating and enriching. The educational CDs and academic support material is projected on the big screen with laser projectors. The school also supports a computer lab where children develop creativity through experiments on the computer and explore learning. The fully equipped computer lab helps the children to become more machine friendly and to use computer as a tool of learning and gaining information of any field.
At times, the school organizes adventure and educational trips. A day camp is also organized once a year such that children can enjoy adventure games and activities. The school provides transport facilities to ferry the students. There are specific routes that are formed by the school authorities, on which the transport facilities are available.
